French Napoleon III Crapaud Armchair w/ Padded Velvet Upholstery & Beech Legs
Handsome & unique Napoleon III armchair featuring:
Bound velvet padded surround / edging with chunky cerise pink braid. Striking design.
Worn & marked but useable scalloped pattern upholstery.
Quality beech legs.
Comfortable and solid seat with nice wide base and rounded backrest.
Dimensions:
80cm full depth / Seat depth 53cm / Seat width front 70cm / In between arms 56cm / 37cm h seat / 87cm h / 78cm w full width
Condition: The upholstery is worn and marked all over, especially the seat, but the chair is useable. This is an ideal piece for reupholstering also. The frame and base are solid (although some springs / framework are pushing out slightly through the back).
We try our best to be as transparent as possible when describing our antique pieces. However do keep in mind that most pieces are often up to a century old and will have traces of age and wear. We will include photographs of anything with significant damage or wear. And we are always happy to send more information and images pre-purchase if required.
